third member question

so the pinion bearing went bad on my 80 rx-7. of course now the yards have no first gens, except for a 85 gsl-se. can i install just the third member into the stock housing? i dont want to loose the 4 x 110 becouse then i have to find wheels as well. thanks

nope. SE's are large axle and have more splines.

dammit thats what i thought, might swap to the whole se setup then. ive been waiting for the yard to produce a gsl rear now for 2 months.

Nows the time to upgrade. But if you do you will need new wheels.
I thought I saw someone selling a early GSL LSD in the 1st gen parts section about 2 weeks ago.
