thingy connected to cat. converter
hey guys, has anyone made a block off plate for the pipe from the air pump(i think) to the cat? Would that make the air pump work extra hard? i was thinking i could just drill holes in the tube but i need to pass smog so the air needs to run into the cat to pass the sniffer test...i have headers/rb muffler/free flow cat so if i should notice a difference at all i should...is it wasting my time to do this or what??.......................

Um i dont know which one your talking about, theres one on the back of the engine and theres one that connects to the emmissions thinger on side of the engine. Both i believe are connected to the bloody airpump through the head/thinger. I blocked off both but i dont have emissions. I made my own plates. You wont pass smog without them.

i suggest you dont block it. that will kil the cat which we dont want to happen so we can use for next smog. just leave that part open for awhile if u want to run headers. but if u do u still risk backfiring and damaging the cat. my advice is to get something to replace the cats, like with ur current set up or a rb presilencer.
