Are these Panasports? What kind of air dam is this?

I stumbled across a couple pics of this car here and i have fallen in love with it. Does anyone know whos it is or what kind of wheels and air dam that is? For my taste it has the perfect blend of nastalga and potena to it and im about to get my 84 repainted and i want to try to replicate this look with it. At first i thought the air dam was what victoria british carries in their catalog but it looks different. If anyone knows or has any suggestions i greatly appreciate it. I want to try to find these wheels and air dam before the car goes into the paint booth so the nose will match right and such. If anyone has any other pics of this particular car i wouldnt mind seeing them either Thanks guys.

Are yours the same size and offset in general as those? If yours are the same if you dont mind me asking where did you get yours and whats the specs on them? Ive seen lots of panasports on these cars where they stick out really far but these seem to have been made for this car. I really like the offset and such. If you can help me on that then i cant thank you enough. If they are indeed panasports then i just need to get the proper size and offset and place to find them and ill be set.

I agree, that is a sweet ride!

You mentioned you found the pictures on a site. Did you ask the person who posted them/runs the website? Perhaps it's their car, or they can point you in the direction of the owner.

That airdam looks like the stock front with the fog lights holes cut out, and a nice lip molded to the bottom?

What I don't like is the bumper trim in the front. It looks ugly split up like that.

They are not Panasports, those come with center caps like my avatar. They look good though.

Well i found the pics a long time ago. I say long time ago like 6 months ago or so. I saved them to my computer cause i liked how it looked but back then i had my vert and wasnt in the market. Since im waiting for my new fb to arrive it peaked my interest again. Where i got the pics at i cant recall. I think i got them here though but thats not for certain. If anyone knows who it is or knows the specs on this stuff please let me know. That would help me in my hunt.

Well thats what i initially thought too but the ones in the vb catalog are 13 inch wheels. Is it my eyes or do those in the pics look larger than 13 inches?

Could be the tires on it. They look to have a smaller profile then the tires I have on my stock FB, thus creating the look of larger rims.

Those arent Panasports... I am 99.9% sure those are MiniLites or SuperLites.

I looked at mazdatrix but none of them looked the same as this one. If i cant find this one its ok, i didnt realize mazdatrix carried those before. i liked one of theirs too so that would work. But i still cant pinpoint those wheels. Do those blue emblems look like the old style mazda symbols to yall where it was that sky blue color? If there was a way i could tell if those were 13s or not then id just get the set out of v/b but something tells me those are larger. Plus they have what appears to be bg goodrich tires on them which arent made in 13s... I dunno but im open to suggestions Thanks for everything so far guys.

maybe just maybe VB sells them in larger sizes. I hope this is the case because I too have fallen for pana-style wheels since i saw them on an Austin Healey parked near my house. Good luck on the face lift

http://www.panasport.com/

Even if they arent panasport, which they are. and VB sells panasports. nobody else makes wheels like those. other than the center cap, they are identical. same spokes same lip everything that matters is the same. Isnt that like a Pacific or a rotary engineering front clip? both companies have been out of business for awhile and I recall one of them making that clip..... oh well I'll dig out a Pacific Magazine I guess....

I met the owner at Sevenstock 7. Those are Panasports and the airdam is by Elford Turbo.

Panasport has had different center caps for their street wheels over the years. Most people are probably more familiar with the black/chrome hex nut ones in the above pics. They also came in blue at one time.

Some JDM Panasports came with a cheapo plastic center cap that say FORMULA (for Formula 1)on it. One of mine was lost during a canyon run

*The major distinction from Panasports from the other classic 8-spoke wheels are the 'banana' shape of their spokes.
