Minilites are very old stock, these look to big, but Minilites were Magnesium rims if I remember correctly, thats why they were light before the technology became available.

True panasports are not cheap and thats why so many people go with the VB wheels...mini-lites or superlites. I have true panasports on my racecar and for the set it was close to $1,000 dollars. I have a set I have raced on but, they are still in good shape that I will sell. If you are interested let me know.

I will also try to get you pictures of my panasports... It will be an excuse for me to get the car out of the trailer and start doing winter "stuff"...get ready for the season!

Panasports are the orginal. They are the lightest... They are the best....

Minilites date back to the early 60s, they are the original, they were used on Austin Mini Touring Cars.

My question is, are the minilites or whatever from VB lighter than the stock four spoke rims, and how much wider are they? I'm no racer by any means, but I will eventually be looking for lighter and wider rims.

Got a pic? I was thinking about doing the same thing. Did you just mask the outer edge and polish them yourself? Or did you have it done? If U had it done where and how much did it run you?

Thanks

really?????????????

but to all seriousness, i've yet to hear rotas fail. a lot of rota wheels are actually reliable and still manage to be both performance oriented and priced below other competitors.

I emailed the guy the car belongs to. Hopefully its still active and he will reply. I like the offset and width of how it looks om his car and thats how id want it on mine. I like all the other panasports but they all seem to stick out past the fender lip and i dont really care for that look. The way his are they look like they were specially made for his car which i like.

This is off the current topic, but if you look at picture of the car at a 3/4 front view. On the driver side, where the fender meets the air dam it isn't lined up perfectly. The air dam actually looks like it sticks out a inch or two. So I'd think that it isn't a stock air dam with a lip added. But not stock at all, unless they botched it up somehow.
