I didn't want to risk any inherrent problems from using parts of old driveshafts that may already have a reduced life left.

one question for you or Adsy01 or anyone else with that setup. have you casually noticed any elevated underhood temps? not necessarily actual engine/coolant temps, i'm speaking more of when you open the hood, if you get the same feeling as when open a bag of popcorn just out the microwave or does the hood make you want to swear when you touch it? i'm just curious ... i think i'd put this on my wish list.
again ... nice pics. nice, clean setup ... i'm green!

On a side note, I did notice a slight decrease in coolant temps when I changed the fans from the front to the back. Seems there's more airflow now when the cars moving.

yeah i started with mine on the engine side because i figured the more air flow the rad gets the less the fans would have to work..

so a electric fan is a good investment? i mean, my car isnt that moddified. i have a racing beat header in the engine bay so that might generate some more heat during the summer, but do you think taking off the shroud and replacing the clutch fan is a good idea for a basically stock motor minus exhaust? i like how it cleans up alot, but if its not a big difference on a stock motor, ill do it later when i have more to worry about.

why dont you guys try and permacool fans.. they flow better then the black magic and are top notch and reliable.. i was going to pick up a 14" one for the car but i havent measured the rad yet.. u say teh 16" will fit? sweet all the better... and another question.. where do you mount the temp probe if u have SS braided collant lines? thanks

Now, their "high performance " models do offer a little bit more CFM, but are ugly as sin, and look like they'll cut your fingers off at the first chance.
I'll be honest, I don't believe their CFM claims either. Why would the 16" pull more CFM than the 18"? Also why will a 14" have the same CFM as a 16". With that reasoning, the 14" will be the best value out of all of them.
