thermal pellet, why?
i am going to order overhaul kit B from atkins but im wondering why they have a 86+ thermal pellet with teh kit? i thought 12a's didnt have thermal pellets? and what the hell do these things do anyways?
thanks
thanks
the thermal pellet limits oil flow to the rotors to help it get to operating temperature quicker and get the car to running with lower emissions quicker, also to raise the oil and coolant temps at the same rate roughly.

oh ok i was looking at the oil jet on the eshaft stupid me, ok so someone show me where the hell a thermal pellet goes and explain why the 12a overhaul kit comes with one
please thanks
please thanks
The kit won't have the thermal pellet. As the website says, it is only for 86+ 13b. If you saw the kit on their ebay store or something and it says that it has the thermal pellet, it is probably just a mistake.
