Is there a way to test ignition?

I have one of these.

I have not heard of this brand before but anyways to my question. I think it got wet since it was under the nose panel but to where water could possibly get to it, so is there a way I can test it to make sure it still works? I am getting reaedy to take my engine out so I am relocating the box assuming it still works. Can anybody help me as far as telling me how I can test it?

hook it up, remove the dizzy, and spin it by hand.. have the plug wires going to or near a ground on the chassis.. if it works , it will park like crazy.... fun too

Well is there a way I can test it without it being hooked up because it is unhooked along with battery and coils. Can I just put 2 wires on the battery and see if the light comes on?

I have been using one of them for over four years. Here is a diagram on how to hook it up.... Was the pack submerged in water? If not they're water resistant. I wash the engine compartment every time I was the car and spray presure water all over the engine compartent to include where I have the rotary pack installed.
