Is there a factory rev limiter on the GSL-SE?
Yes they do. Let me get a picture of it.

The cut off valve is on the frame rail before the pump, after the tank.
Excuse the bad pictures, camera phone. This is the back of an 82, with the 85mph speedo. I took the back cover off, and revealed this. There is a metal rod that I assume bounces back and forth against the side pieces of metal making the buzzing noise.

To all the newbs, either know what the hell you're talking about, based on fact, or, STFU.
All 1st gens have redline buzzers, many no longer work. The buzzer is set to go off around 6500 rpm so the shift can be started by 7k.
Fuel cut was introduced in the S4 ecus.

I say prove it. Someone show me a pic of what:
A - the buzzer itself looks like
B - the electonics that control it
I went ahead and posted up pics of what I think are the electronics and the buzzer and I dont have the right equipment as per the over-rev buzzer adjustment thread. This makes me believe that my 83 GS did not come with the over rev buzzer that most had.
