Are there any other carbs that can be used on the 12a engines?
If you are running the stock exhaust then nothing.
Once you upgrade to a header system then you can upgrade your carb.
Do a search with each term. Mikuni, Holley,Edelbrock,Weber, And OER. That will show you threads of the different carbs that can be used. Of course with the appropriate manifolds.
