Temp sensor
I went into my local big name auto parts store to buy a new temp sensor, they quoted me 68.00 for one with 6 days order time. Good God Gertie, what a rip I think. does anyone have any good ideas???????? Bob 85 RX7

You should be able to pickup/order from any Shucks/Checker/Kragen/Advance Auto or buy online. I assume that you are looking for the sender that goes to the dash gauge.
If you are looking for the coolant temp sensor (back of waterpump) for a GSL-SE, Advance, Autozone, etc will have them in stock or can order. Those also cost about $15-$20.
Edit: There is also the temperature switch (bottom of radiator). It is expensive and takes some time to get. It is emissions only. Perhaps the auto parts store was looking at this by mistake. The following link shows all of the coolant sensor/sender/switches for a GSL-SE:
