I tossed in a new TSU, the wire seems fine and the gauge moves from one side of the bottom line to the other when it's warm.

I've been poking around but haven't seen that anyone has ever actually tried to fix the stock gauge. I'm thinking I may give that a shot - if someone has tried/done it before, some pointers are welcome.
