I cannot find any how to's or writeups and would like to do this, maybe I am just dumb but hey, where the heck is it?/how???

You will find it in the 2nd gen section. Works best on the TII engines. Gains are minimal on the NAs.

Yes, but I have heard the reverse from others and, BTW I couldn't find it in the 2nd gen section.

its a pretty decent mod for the SE i did it on mine b4 i sold it, she idled rough and would die out some times until she was all warmed up. you do feel beeter throttle response! my baby was pretty f'ing quick! this is the site that i used for mine http://www.rx7turbo.com/tbmod.htm

if your doing that mod when u remove those plates get a torch and heat those screws up...come out so much easier!

Does ReTed's site have a write up on the tb mod? That might be where I've seen it before. FC3SPro.com or something like that.

I've done the mod on a friends SE and my 2nd gen, both NAs. I got so tired of waiting for the 2nd gen to warm up in the winter before I could drive off that I put a stock tb back on. Never really noticed any differerence between modded and stock tbs, performance wise.
