Taking Matters into our hands

I was reading the thread about RX-7's becomming classics and someone mentioned that we need help from Mazda and the RX-8 to get our cars noticed. I must say taht would help, however i think we the owners need to take the situation of noone knowing anyhting about these cars. After this winter im going to be entering my car into every car show i can with my hood open, ill also be telling anyone that asks everyhtign i know about these cars. I urge you all to do so also. If we begin to bring these cars out into the open to where people can inspect the different motor and design we will be getting a much stronger response from different age and economic status groups. The RX-8 isnt going to bring the 7 into old peoples view, or even younger people. The 8 will bring the rotary engine to fairly rich people, who more than likely will be middle aged. Teens and early 20 year olds love car shows, and that is who we hsould target our own shall i say marketing towards.

Its too early. Wait till I get 50-100 in my possesion b4 you try to make them valuable ok? Seriously, until there are very few left (Mazda made loads of these cars), and alot of time has passed, they wont be worth much. Look at 240Z's. Should be a valuable classic, but the market is still underpricing them. And lets not forget that modded cars fetch much lower prices than original, restored concours examples in the classic car market.

I think rx7carl is right, but whenever I get the chance, I always show how the rotary is the way to go. I guess people just don't like change... Just like nuclear power (I'm studying to become a nuclear engineer)--it is our best alternative to power, burning natural gas is no good anymore. It will just take a long time until the masses realize the true potential of the rotary (I hope i live to see that day!)
