swapping wires between a 1985 and 1981
HI,
last weekend I transfer a 1981 12A to a 1985 body. Plug everything back. I found thta the wires thta are on the top of the motor, with the 5 or 6 color connectors, are not plug on the same side of the wall. The 1981 was connected on the left, and the 198 connect on the right. So I takes of the wires out of the old 12A 1985 and try to put it on the 12A 1981. My problem is that the 1985 wires got 6 colored plug, and the 1981 12A motor only got 5 connections. What cab I do with the 6th colored conectors. Sorry to not be more precise about the colored connector but I don't know exactly what are they, thye are just behind the oil cap.
here a link to see the old 1985 12A with the 6 colored connections behind the oil cap.
