Swap TII into 1st gen???

Swap TII into 1st gen???
I have a 87 TII in pretty bad shape body wise. However, the motor/tranny is great! I also have a 83 GSL. I was curious if anybody knows the difficulty in swapping the 13BT into the 1st gen. Would it be easier to carburate my 4-port or try to leave it as is? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
