Suspension techniques front sway bar: poor design?
Wow, putting this thing on is a royal pain in the ***. The fitment is just terrible. I should have known something was up when I had to cut the tension rod brackets to slide it through. A list of my complaints:
1) the bar doesn't fit through the holes on the tension rod bracet;
2) the bushings are much too large and can't be placed on without removing the sway bar and tension rods;
3) the bushings can't be put into place without a hammer and socket exension;
4) the OEM bushing casings must be literally straightened then hammered back into place to fit; and
5) the rod scrapes on the bottom of the tension rod brackets.
I can't believe that the racing beat sway bar is this bad. Anyone have one of either and care to share their experiences?

Did you put the Racing Beat or ST sway bar on?
They all have a similar design. I have the Eibach one and I removed the tension rod brackets and slip the say bar on and it bolted right up. Did you buy it new or used?

It's a new Suspension Techniques sway bar. The bar wouldn't slide through the holes in the tension rod brackets because the end link eye was too wide to fit. The bushings are also much too large and push the bar into the bottom of the tension rod bracket hole.
