If you want your car to be really low to the ground. Remove your springs, throw them away, and then your car will sit as low as possible.

Just kidding.

Eibach, ST, and Racing Beat all make springs that are ~1 inch lower ride height. You can also get coilovers conversions from several places (ReSpeed, Ground Control, etc) which will let you adjust height. ISCRacing.net also makes a rear spring adjuster.

ST Springs. Tokico Illuminas. Large adjustable front sway bar and strut brace to keep the body roll to a minimum. Wide 225/45-13 tires to keep it firmly stuck to the ground.

Are you going for looks, or handling? Having both is not as simple as it sounds. The loswer it is, particularly the front, the worse it will corner. RB does make a strut tower extension that will lower the front, yet retain dampner travel.

Mad tite JDM wheels, yo!! Good luck. Not only are they rare and hard to find, they can be pricey. Keep an eye on the Yahoo JP auctions, if you can read Japanese.

Good info guys. Keep it coming. I was actually thinking ST springs with Tokico Illuminas before this thread and a sway bar/strut brace like you. Now I definately think that'd be the way to go. I want the front to be pretty stiff to keep roll to a minimum.

I think this will be archivable once it has run its course.

Unfortunatly racing beat has discontinued them. I went to buy that kit for the 13bt project half a year ago, and mazdatrix said they weren't making them anymore... We should get respeed to make a kit like that

It may just be the camera angle but your strut looks bent to me.

I've got the respeed coil over kit with tokico blues and 250lb springs. I'll be getting some pics up and a writeup of the overall install. i have the weld on kit.

Intrax makes a set that I think will get you a little bit (still not much) lower than ST or RB, but they seem to be quite a bit more expensive. I don't know of anyone who has used them, so they could be crap.

The RB's don't offer a huge drop, but I found them to be quite a bit stiffer without compromising suspension travel, which is a huge problem in the front when racing over uneven surfaces. I'm at the limit right now, any more of a drop without a huge increase in spring rate and the front would bottom out.

NO DON'T USE INTRAX FOR AUTOx!!! They even say on thier own website that these springs are ONLY for looks and comfort...not competition......So if you want the drop and are NOT planning on AUTOX...then by all means get the INTRAX.

Thanks for pointing that out. I think you are right as the wheel is sitting almost an in back in the wheel well. That side was crunched before I bought it and looks like there was more damage then I thought.

I am currentely running B&G springs, and tokico blues in my 84 GS, that setup lowered my car about 1.5". My 82 GS has B&G springs and KYB shocks/struts which lowered that car about1.25". Both setups work awsome for autocrossing and give you better overall handling, and much stiffer chassis which gives you a better feel for the road.

Friend of mine has B&G springs in his TII, ride quality/handling is great. It's much better than my 2nd gen with Eibach Pros. B&G has been around for years, just never hear much about them.
