The 84-85 has a different spindle. The outer wheel bearings are bigger and the spindle is considered to be a up grade (stronger) over the 83 and earlier spindles. As a result 84-85 12A cars use a different part number rotor.

I believe the control arms are slightly different too but I'm not 100% sure. That may only be for the 79-82.

Bigger axles and bigger spindles, thats about it. The other parts are all the same as Wacky says.

Yep like they said, front outer wheel bearing is bigger, and the rear axles (and housing) are bigger. Everything else is interchangeable - control arms, tension rods, strut tops etc etc.

^Only thing different in the front is the hub/rotor (it's still a once piece like the 12a cars) and the brake caliper. In the rear it's just the axles, rotors and again the calipers that are different. The control arms, spindles, strut tops etc are all the same as the non Se cars. Even the rear axle housing is the same as the GSL (84/85 big bearing of course)
