This sucks...
Well, if you haven't turned on a tv, listened to the radio, talked to anybody, or read the newspaper, you wouldn't realize that their is a big *** hurricane barreling down on us. I have, and so have many, many other people.
Anyways, we are most likely (most likely meaning 95% sure) heading to Houston tomorrow afternoon to get away from this beast, but the real problem lies on side of my house, my car.
Since I don't have a license yet (I'm eligible, but the god damned insurance company won't let me on the policy unless I pay on my dad's STi [bullshit]); so, there is no way for my car to come along with us. We are most likely going to go park it in the middle of a giant parking garage, but I just hate the idea of leaving my car out in the middle of a city, by itself, without an alarm or anything. I highly doubt the hurricane does anything to it (unless it throws a chunk of a building through my car), but just the thought of "abandoning" my car is sickening to me.
On top of leaving my car, I have to pack, like, everything of absolutely neccessity or highest importance and leave the "less" important stuff behind; which includes a lot of stuff. I'm really hoping that Ivan will "pull a Hurricane George" and swerve away from us at the last freaking minute, but I am having my doubts.
So, to any of you southerners with or without -7-s, good luck, and for everyone else, please pray that this friggin' thing goes to Mexico or something. Heh.
....God this sucks....
