I didn't misquote, I paraphrased.

The Militia reference in the 2nd Amendment has been a source of debate for many years.
This very issue is at the heart of the anti-gunners ploy to gut the 2nd Amendment.

And Revhed, I shoved the facts down your throat, and you come up with "I can see why you need a gun to hide behind"? LOL! I merely posted my "threat" to make you THINK. I'm still waiting...

Alright, this threads gonna (and should) be closed soon anyways, so I'm just gonna come right out and say what I know most of the participants want to say, but would rather maintain dignity...You guys using that quote as a basis for the Constitution spelling out individuals "right" to carry firearms are a bunch of SERIOUS JACKASSES!
1791, girls. Guess what, Mario- In 1791, if you had dark skin, YOU DID'NT ****** COUNT, man! You would'nt even be a citizen if you were'nt a pure bred white boy.

There's plenty of other wonderful little things all throughout the Constitution that are NOT things to be proud of. Let's all of us exploit all of these things, and turn over some of the amendments that have helped correct them over the years- all for the sake of being able to utilize a 212 YEAR OLD line in the document taken COMPLETLY out of context to mean any old ******* can walk around with a ****** hand cannon!
Are you guys really for friggin REAL? Any moron HAS TO KNOW what they meant when they wrote that. You're gonna try to use that as your foundation for the "right" for Joey Lunchkit to carry his cannon? You guys could'nt even recount it properly!
Not only is that just really low and slimy, but it also demonstrates great disrespect for the American Constitution by using the documents flawed hastily written words.

No, I don't think you should die, smart ***. And don't confuse my pissing on you with pissing upwind, there Pokemon!
Do you walk around with a gun?
No?- Then I suppose you should probably leave Texas if that wonderful day ever does come, huh?...Then again, if you don't have the wherewithall to do so, then you should probably be eliminated from the gene pool as well, huh?

Don't introduce me to this and then turn around and try to ruffle my feathers, 79+80!

Guys, I'm sorry I started this flame fest. Although my opinons are strong on this topic, it isn't the place. One of the greatest things about this forum is how we tend to treat each other with respect and mutual support. Let's carry on as rotorheads, not hotheads

No, I dont carry a pistol, cause I have a clean record for now, and want to keep it that way so I can get my drivers lisence..... and when I can carry(legally) a pistol, or a shot gun, bet ur *** I will......... with all the stupid crazy **** around here, and I cant fight worth crap.... I learnt that the hard way, burnout.......

Nah, your not pissing on me, your pissing on a sign attached to a high voltage electrical fence......... Now who is the "pokemon" "zapee"?

But, if someone feel the need to kill me, do so....... just whatch your back....... cause revenge is a bitch!

I dont believe in killing someone for banging on the window.. But if he is threatening my life, better him than me, since he will probably do it to somone else.....

I look at my brother... He has always been a dick head...
I look at all his mistakes, and try and learn from them, so I dont wind up like him... Like, how he used to steal cars, and when someone broke in down the road, they immediatly thought it was him, or how the piece of *** he got turned into his 9 month old daughter, that should have put his life on hold for 18+ years, but I dont think it will last 2YRS, before he gives up, and either kills himself, or gets killed, or the Mother finally learns somthing.......

And, when I asked what you would do, is because of your hot headed-ness.... Just thought you would bring this thread some sick humor DAWG!, but instead, replied with a statment that seems like all texans are reatarded, and should be killed, I mena ???

Anyways, back to me being learnt

Thanx, Laterz, Andrew

Are you an AMERICAN?
Your disdain for the validity of the Constitution makes me wonder.
"Flawed"? "Hastily written"? Hardly.
And what's with the "Joe Lunchkit" reference, you got something against the working class?
Good thing the Constitution gives you the right to free speech though, huh?

"Profanity is the weapon of ignorance".

And Manntis, this "flame fest" was started long before Al Gore created the internet, LOL.

But yes, this IS off-topic so I will leave the anti-gun 'fraidy cats to lick their wounds and prepare for the next
"Million Mommies" march.

Flawed? Not exactly... however, we are facing societal issues unanticipated by our median-age-of-45 forefathers. I personally feel that we need to start over since the government in the US has severe issues. That being said, I'm proud of my country - just think that the nature of "modern" day politics is disgusting.

I'm a human that happens to live in America.
I believe in being "American" about as much as I believe in being "Catholic".
-Both ideals include the rhetoric that all others but them will face a grim, troublesome life and death.
My choices and opinions are guided by logic, science, reason, and occasionally sanity.

All of those things tell me that if someone goes whackin on my car window all pissed off, I hit the gas! (Cause they might, uhhhmm...be exercising their right to carry a gun, and they might be stupid enough to blurr that right into the right to "blow yer head cleeeean off. So you gotta ask yourself just one question; "Do I feel lucky?" Well do ya punk?".... )

Lookit, I'm just as American as the next guy. I would'nt want to live anywhere else. We have it all. But I did'nt have to see everyone in some chanty-town all massacred and in bits and pieces like my grandfather in WW2. It really messed him all up inside, ya know? Now there's someone who can walk around yelping out "I got the RIGHT to this, and I got the RIGHT to that- He deserved the "Right" to proclaim his rights!
But me?- I concider the things like the fact that obesity is actually a problem in this country; Or the fact that I can start with absolutely nothing at all, and retire from the sale of the small business I created and live out the rest of my life comfortably not doing much else than playing with my cars!!!...I think about these things, and I concider it a LUXERY that I'm an American.

But please don't ever question my patriotism, O.K?
I wanted to go into the Army and become an MP, and follow it with a career as a NYS Trooper.
They don't like epileptics walkin 'round with guns, I guess. (Ppppphfffft!)
I don't always agree with the governments choices, and I think that there should be much stricter, tighter requirements that these frat boys should have to meet before becoming permanant Strom Thurmand fixtures in our Senate.
A few tweaks, and I think it's pretty damn O.K., all things concidered.
I just don't feel comfortable with most of the people on this thread walking around in public with a gun, that's all.

But you know what?- If you carry a gun?...You should show a little ****** RESPECT, and concider it a luxery instead of an "in yer face" "right".

...and 79+80, You should definitely NOT be carrying a gun!

Ya gotta remember, Britain is "gun-free" and the stage was setup by "thinkers" like this one who laid the seeds early on for the societal acceptance of the rape that was to come....

These guys had plenty of time to write the Constitution form the groundwork laid back when the Declaration was penned....it's a living document, sterling, which means its tenents are just as valid today as then...it is purposely vague on a lot of points, so it can be interpreted and used as America gets older and the idea works. Every word in it was carefull chosen and "these people" was NOT used. Again, it's irelevant what any one here posting thinks it means. The Supreme Court interprets it to mean the individual citizen and that's all that matters. Back in 1791, the Britsh society was hundreds of years old and dense in population...kinda like today in America. The writers knew that when they wrote of who could bear arms....

If you fired off 17 rounds then you've got more to worry about as the CHL won't protect your *** then as that would be excessive use of force. If use of force is needed, only the amount of force needed to control the situation can be used.

When there is a use of force situation that goes to court there are three things that have to be proven and I remember two of them right now. The person threatening you has to have intent (if they are coming at you, have weapon drawn, etc, then there is intent. The person threatening has to have the means of which to carry out the threat. For example, the guy that was getting pummeled by the 300lb guy. The 300lb guy definately had the means of which to inflict lethal force. If you're assailant is a 100lb toothpick that is just looking to pick a fight and you're the 300lb driver with a gun and shoot him then you're at fault because you used excessive force needed to control the situation.

I just finished reading pages one and pages five.........
I am in the forty something bracket.....A half American /Canadian........I own a Glock and an RX7.....

If I am ever in that situation.........a four door nissan.......I would take pride in hauling *** away.......
letting them wish they could be RX7 owners..........

I would not let them sneak up on me after driving behind me with the brights on.........4 on 1........wrong odds.............RX7 versus nissan..........priceless............

I guess that would be me. I've been out for a couple days (gotta take a vacation now and then). Anyway, this is definately way off-topic for the 1gen section, so that's the basis I am closing it on. Also, I will simply state this (to be honest, I don't know if it really came up or not so...)

Given the reference that many anti-gun people like to make to the Constitution stating something to the effect of 'given the need for a militia ... the right to bere arms ..' and how that refers to the reserves ...

back when that was righten, there were no reserves. The reserves were simply private citizens defending their property.
