my sensor lights in my dash keep going on when ther is no problem. i have an 82 rx-7. my check water light and over heat exhaust light keep comming on every time i get in the car. also my door sensor does not work. when i open my door my cab light does not work. its sad but i dont know what to check or do. all help is appreciated.

 

Do all of your warning lights come on when the car is running or just the two or three you mentioned. If they are all coming on at the same time after starting the engine you probably have alternator problems (slipping belt, bad elec. connection, bad alt. etc.) If just the ones are coming on that you mentioned and you are sure there is no problem with those systems I would guess that you are having problems in your intrument cluster. You could get another one from a junk yard and try swapping it out to see if that fixes you problem. Your dome light is most likely being caused by a bad ground in the light. Clean your ground contacts on the light and check to make sure you have hot current coming to the switch. Good luck! Electrical problems suck.
