Tap it on the ground, it may be rusted in there. if you don't need that shock then put it in a vice and crank it.

Buy a can of P B Blaster, it will become your new BFL. Assuming you have removed the gland nut, either the strut insert is rusted in place or the strut housig is dented, pinching the inset. Neither WD or brake cleaner can/will break down rust if that's the cause.

Bolt something onto the top of the shaft to give you something to pull or bang on. Maybe try heating the housing, but that would be a last resort I think...

Heating it too much with the gas-pressurized insert still in there would not only be a last resort... it might be a last act! (Boom!)

1) Put the bearing plate back on, torqueing the top nut loosely.
2) Protect the strut shaft with something squishy, while mounting in a vise with the bearing plate on the far side.
3) Yank the hell out of the strut housing.

I GOT IT! So i put it back on the car beat it with a 3lb hammer. no luck. heated it up. no luck. lubed it up. no luck. more lube more heat 4LB hammer and a scream and its off! Finlay. So then i cut it all up like the other one and now ready to order coils. YAY. But i broke a screw drive while prying off the strut braces and it hit me in the face and gave me a fat lip. haha lame.

Thanks for all ur help.
