strut tower brace(measurements)

Does anyone have strut tower brace on your 1st gen? Could you tell me what the measurements are because I'm 2 poor to afford one and going to build one, a picture of it would help a lot. Thanks

I was thinking about trying to find a center section from a honda or somehing similar and then fabbing "feet" to mount it, but i dont know how log of one I should get. I think Im just gonna save up the $100 or whatever and get the one Manntis sells...Then paint it YELLOW!!!

I would recommend doing that! By the time you buy the center section and fab the plates or whatever you do, you will have that kind of money in it plus the time it will take!!!

The firewall, and some drilling is required (Mazda didn't leave 8 handy holes positioned just so)

THANKS FOR THE PICS GUYS, BUT... that design is kinda gay. the open ends looks really retarded. I seen a pic of one that arched up and across, i don't remember anything else about it. Well, keep the pics coming, thanks you'all!

my bro just made one up for the rear of his mr2 spyder, toyota already had 2 big ones there but he wanted another one (more for looks)

so he got some chrome rod about 3/4 inch thik, cut to size and squased each side down using a numatic press, drilled the holes and put it on.

and he says it has actualy made a large improvement..

if you want, you can buy one off of ebay, its made for a 3rd gen but if you bore the holes bigger, it will fit the 1st gen. They go for 14.99!!!!!!!!!! Thats what i got! Rotary-Rex

You have a 1st-gen, right?

Go out to it with a tape measure and do some figuring.
