VA Strut replacement ??

I'm in the middle of replacing my strut cartridges with Tokico Blue. The cartridge I removed is a made in USA relacement. The Blue cartridge is roughly 3/8" taller, and the screw which holds it in the strut itself cannot get enough thread to screw in. What next. Several thread searches have revealed no solution. Thank you.

Are you using the retaining nuts that came with the tokicos? The factory nut will not work on the tokico.

Same thing happened to me, got the struts used and the seller didn't include the hardware. I called Tokico and they sent me what I needed.
