Stripes or no stripes?

I'm getting my '81 Red GSL Painted, same color, but i'm trying to decide whether to get racing stripes put on. And if so, I don't know what color. Anyone with a first gen with stripes, can you send me pics for an idea?

it depends.. if you keep the side trim it'll look to busy.. however if you take the side trim off then it mihgt look ok

and if u got a red car.. then its balck or white all the way

(if you get a nice dark tinit job.. then black defentaly, also touch up the metal around the windwhield and mirrors andstuff)

I think stripes look good when they are done properly.

cobra stripes dont really fit on a FB IMO

a single or a combo stripe on one side looks good, Ive seen it on a fb and I liked it.

Silver would be a good option for the stripes

No stripes on a FB! If it were a track car I might say yes.

I tend to agree with "no stripes" ... I'm really into the sleeper look ... I was thinking really dark blue in front, fading to black in the back , but the blue kinda goes into airbrushed flames ... they stay the same blue as in front, but the car degrades to black

That's what I want :P

No stripes, wings, or body kits. The car was designed in the 70's, all that wanna be rice boy crap looks terrible on it.

I like the scoop on the hood, but i'd prefer the stripes to be closer together

While I tend to dislike anything flashy, I really do like white with dark blue stripes. If I can ever get another car, that's what it'll end up with. This would be a car to play with, certainly not a daily driver.
