Lol... I have a master cylinder that needs replacing, but I was wondernig if its the brake booster that made this noise.



I ran the car for a bout 2 minutes, I was moving it, when I parked it in the garage, I was working on something. A minute later I hear this sound coming from the hood, swoooosshhhhhhhh.


Is that my master cylinder or, the brake booser

 

Start the car, idle for 30 seconds, turn it off, then push the brake pedal while someone is listening in the engine bay. Master should make no noise at all, booster is a good possibility.

Did you feed it beans yesterday?

 

Brake booster is the only 1 of the 2 mentioned that would make a noise. whether or not that is what made the noise?
