strange noise
I have a '85 rx7 S and lately whenever i have been slowing down it sounds like there is a metallic tapping around my passenger side front tire, I have taken it off and cant see anything that would be hitting my wheel. I have had some people tell me its probably my bearings. Any advice is greatly appreciated

Best way to tell is to take the bearings out and inspect them and the races - - bearing wear is usually pretty visible.
They may just need repacking and readjustment, which should be done periodically anyway but rarely gets done. Total cost besides your time would be one grease seal, some grease, some brake parts cleaner, and some paper towels. And a cotter pin.

Could be bearings, could be brakes or even suspension/steering parts. I'd do some diagnosis first by jacking up the passenger front wheel (carefully, well braced), give it a spin and shake things around a bit, the problem should reveal itself. You might want to check the driver's side and rear wheels while you are at it. Also, I'm just up the road in Jefferson if you want some help with the diagnosis, bring it over this weekend.

i had forgotten to mention this, the noise had started when I did a graceful slide into a guardrail on a wet road. Not much visible damage can be seen, but i did hit it quite hard. Not sure if that had an effect on whats going on now.
