stock volt meter stopped working?
stock volt meter stopped working?
just today i noticed my stock volt meter stopped working, tested voltage on battery and alternator and it seems fine... i have been messing around with the car a lot lately, but nothing under the dash.
do you think it could be a problem in the instrument panel itself or a sensor located elsewhere?
hmm....

If you can't trace it down to a wiring fault, the gauges themselves do burnout. Pull the gauge and look at the fine white wires wrapped around the bi-metalic bar. If the wires are discolored and not pure white, the gauge is toast.
i guess when i was putting in the battery tie-down i must have jiggled the sensor wire... i just wiggled the wires and checked the connections on the starter and at the battery and now it works. thanks guys, gotta love it when its a easy fix for once
Same problem here
After cleaning out all of the debris inside the bay like leaves, twigs, and such. I recently found that my volt meter also stopped working. Ill check the white wire thing if I can find it. but I most likly must have undone a wire or something in there. Just need some help locating thie wires that are involved.
Oh and my RX is an FC, I used the search tool and didnt notice this is the FB section sorry but i could still use the help if possible.
