Stock mid-pipe Q

I recently got ahold of a racingbeat exhaust. The 12a collected version that uses the stock mid-pipe. My only problem is that I don't have a stock midpipe to use.

I'd like to fab something and add a steelpack in to make it a bit quieter. So, I'm wondering if somebody that has a midpipe around that can measure the length for me so I don't have to put all this on the car before I spec out what length steelpack I can use.

Going by the RB site, it looks to be around 30".. If someone could measure and let me know I'd appreciate it. Can't seem to find it in the archives.

Thanks

The centerpipe isn't a straight shot. It has two bends in it if I remember correctly. Are you wanting a total piping length, including the bends, or an end to end length?

Okay, I guess I'm using the wrong terminology. The connecting pipe or the pipe from the muffler to the back of the presilencer is what I'm looking for. Not so much a mid-pipe
Or, the stock part pictured here is what I mean:

Total pipe length including the bends would be good, but basically, at the straight part of the pipe, what length steelpack/glasspack can I get away with? That's what I really want to know.

You've obviously never heard a hovercraft.

I'm not sure of the length, But the stock one works just fine for n/a operations unless you're doing a bridge port or pp'ing your motor. The rotary heat will destroy the packing your going to use after a matter of time. RB exhaust are quiet. Really.

That is correct, I don't have a stock connecting pipe at all to even look at..
I would very much appreciate it djessence.

Also for those interested, the steelpack I'm lookin at comes from here:
http://www.brockmancustomparts.com/page2.html

The owner quoted me a price of $31 for a 24" overall length 2" OD. It uses "#5 Carbon Steel strand" for the packing. I'm wondering if it'll stand up to the exhaust heat. Carbon steel melts well above the exhaust gas temp, I believe. I'm no expert though. I'm waiting to hear from the owner about melting point temps.

Lots of people saying that the RB exhaust is quiet enough as-is, I may end up getting the piping and flanges from RB and welding up the connecting pipe myself w/o the steelpack. I'm just a bit frustrated with all the previous exhausts I had being too loud and this steel pack is pretty cheap.
