stock exhaust with rb header?

will the rb header, with the stock exhaust still be really loud? i got a ticket for noise, and i want to just put the main cat, and a stock cat back on now, will this do or do i need to go completely stock?

Is this a short term fix or long term.

Using a header will be loud unless you run a pre-silencer and a good muffler.
The RB muffler is good for noise but hurts HP over other units like UltraFlo.

By putting back on the cats, ask your self why even have a header to begin with.

You can make go HP with stock exhaust manifold with a replacement cat pipe, Rotary Performance has a noise chamber so its very quite,

the ONLY bolt up header i know of is a mindtrain stage 5. all pipes are stock lenght. but 2.5" dia. so you can remove and install the cat. when its smog time
the paceshitter is a bolt up on a 84-85 even thought they list it as 79-85

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I have a quick question. I have an exhaust thats a little too loud. All I want to know is how long a Turbo style muffler will last on a rotary. I plan to repack it with stainless packing eventually, but I can't right away. How long will I have before I have a loud exhaust again?
