You really need to get a more secure hold down.
The universal "J" bolt type will work just fine.
A bungee may be able to hold it OK for non spirited driving but for cornering, braking or , worse yet, an accident, you could end up with the battery shifting position, shorting out and a car fire (Car BQ). Don't ask how I know.

What is this "holddown" you are all talking about? My battery stays put regardless how I toss my car around. The very front of the A/C compressor pulley kinda scuffed the side of the battery up a tiny bit but really, no problems there (no belt contact).

Mine looks a little different..

the battery will slide off to the right and hit the hoses/distributer cap and stop right there. even with that small tray and bungee, it just slid off again last night!
