Still wanting to sell my Cosmo 13b 85 rx-7 project any takers?

Im still wanting to pass my project onto someone that can finish it. This car runs now, and runs quite well. Im just not wanting the project anymore. Mods are in my sig and pics are at

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/workah.../ph//my_photos

I hope that links works. I will take $3500 cash for it, I have over 12k in it. If you dont have the cash or can get it quickly, then dont bother with emailing me. I DO NOT like tire kickers... LMk email is mikep28@insightbb.com If no SERIOUS parties soon, its going to Ebat with a NR I DONT WANT TO PART IT, I dont have the time. Some people on here with vouche for me. I used to be around here a lot.

The car is driveable, but not for long distance. The Haltech ECU hasnt been professionally tuned. The car needs to be professionally tuned. The feed for the turbo and the drain for the turbo need to be redone. It smokes a little after running a few minutes, I think its getting too much oil pressure. But there again I dont know for sure, havent had time to mess with it. The rear Mariah Mode 1 quarters need to be molded into the body. It also needs bigger wheels and tires. I also recommend a brake upgrade. Needs to be painted. Interior work needs to be cleaned up. The car has been sitting quite a while, and the brake rotors have rust on them pretty bad. There would need to be some attention there. This car starts and runs now, it will rip your head off. Its very fast as it is, Id hate to see its capabilities. It actually scares the **** out of me now.

I have recently moved to Indiana. Im waiting on the Indiana title, I still have the Kentucky title. The car will have to be transfered to your name before it leaves my possession. Uhaul rents car trailers for like $50 or so a day. Thats the way Id recommend getting it home.

Max7 seven ol buddy.... we just finished our t2 car.... if you haven't driven a t2FB get ready to be blown away, not to mention the car you bought has way more power than ours....

It is INSANE... That thing is a 11-12 second car with traction? I drove ours last night, and let me tell you... me and you had the same mods on our gsl-se's, they are nothing compared to what you just bought. You'll never want to drive your old car again!

Seriously, my blue 7 seems like a econobox compared to the t2FB. Yours is a cosmo w/big turbo for god sakes!!!

Yea its just not going to be the same, no longer having to down shift

It's going to be a long winter waiting to take it for a spin, lots of polishing, powder coating, and misc stuff. But I think it will be quite nice come spring when I can take it out for a gentle spin around the block..........

Damn mike, you don't post in forever, then three months ago you want to sell your car for much cheaper than last year, and I miss the post. If for some reason the deal is a wash, give me a call. I'll pm you my number, I'll have about a million questions for you. But if nothing else I think I have a coupon code around here somewhere to list your car on eBay for $50, and if it doesn't sell they refund the money - I hope I didn't throw it away.

Yeah its kinda funny. I say I want to sell the car I post about it what 3 times over a period of a year and 1/2, I get 1 perspective person. Then he says he cant get it for some reason (I forget). I keep looking, shitload of tire kicker emails and then I get one bite at $3500 (which is way way less than what I spent--Actually makes me sick to think about what i spent on this car) and then everyone seems to want it now. What is up with that? Hell I even had one guy (he didnt post here and you know who you are) email me saying he'd pay $5k for it and come and pick it up in 1-2 days. Even offered me a deposit of $1k now. He even went forth and sent me a picture of the freaking 100's LOL People are funny they really are, a deal is a deal and even tho Id love the $1500 extra Im a man of my word and I said it was SOLD. Anyways, thanks guys.

Im often asked why I want to sell it. #1 I dont have an ounce of time anymore. #2 I dont really have the extra 2 or 3k that I need to finish it, #3 I dont have a garage anymore, #4 I dont have the passion for working on cars anymore, #5 most importantly THE CAR SCARES THE LIVING **** OUT OF ME, you guys have NO IDEA what a turbo'ed rotary will do with this kinda setup and its NOT EVEN TUNED! Shift hard into 2nd at 60 or so and it will get freaking sideways im not kidding. Right after I first finished it, I drove the car to work at Toyota. Its about a 60 mile drive one way, a friend from work was screwing with me in his Mustang Cobra on I-164. Im doing like 70, I downshift to 4th and punch it. I then shift to 5th, before I have a clue what im doing the freaking speedo is pegged (remember 85 has 140 speedo) . Im doing way over 140 (Id estimate close to 150 or so) and the SOB is pulling like 15 lbs of boost. It is still speeding up. I got out of it and the last time I ever ran it like that. The car in stock suspension form is NOT setup to run that fast. It starts floating pretty bad. Next day at work he goes on to tell me how crazy I am, and how he got wasted. Said he could take me on a line up and I said you got one show and thats the last show. Im not doing that anymore. Anyway, Max I talked about the smoking problem. I pulled the plugs out of it and they are nice, no oil deposits. The motor has supernice compression. I suspect its the turbo oil feeds or drain. Might even be the turbo. I had a problem before were it was blowing oil into the intake. Sent it off and it was suppose to be fixed? Also to the comment about cant wait till you drive it, you better register that car and get it out of my name first. Im funny about that.

Anyway, have fun and dont get killed.

It's just the value for the dollar - hell I was considering driving the 1000+ miles (one way) to pick it up, and I really hate long drives on the interstate.

Mike you made a good decision...I have owned some pretty decent cars and when you get scared like that in one is because you know what's next.

I just hope the new owner respects this kind of power...
