Still no trailing coil
OK
I have checked the coil and it's good, there is 12v coming into the coil but nothing coming out.
I swapped the wires so the leading coil was fireing to the trailing location on the cap and it ran. Both igniter work.
What could be the problem?
Any ideas?
I am stumped!
I just thought of this and I will check tomorrow, but could I have a bad wire going to the cap? I would think that I would still get some spark.
Thanks

Did you try swapping the coils leading for trailing, or just where they go in the distributor cap?
Try switching the actual wires going to the coils (not the plug wires coming off the coils) unless I have you mistaken.

Faulty pickup maybe? I've never heard of that happening but it's possible. Or maybe one one of the pickup wires is broken. If you've ruled out the ignitor and the coil then it's gotta be either the pickup or the wiring between the ignitor and coil.

Yes I have swapped coils and the leading coil is still the only one that fires.
So can I swap the connectors to the igniters to see if it is the wires or will that cause problems?
