Sticking brakes after master cylinder rebuild
I rebuilt the brake master cylinder on my '85 GSL-SE. I bled the master by pumping fluid out of the foremost port, then bled the slave cylinders.
When driving, the brakes got tighter and tighter, so much so that I had to get flat-bedded home. They would just not release.
I'm going to pull the master cylinder back apart today, any ideas as to what I should look for?
Thanks.

Update: Before taking off the master cylinder again, I drove it around the neighborhood a bit, using the brakes as much as I could (the pressure had been relieved since Monday night). I could not get the problem to recur.

there is no adjustment on the pushrod itself. sticking brakes are usually caused by a malfunctioning caliper or calipers. this could be a sticking piston or a gummed up and rusted slid pin. keep an eye on it in the mean time and inspect the braking system asap.

It could also be damaged brake lines. The lines can swell on the inside as they age. When you press the brake pedal, fluid is forced into the caliper past the restriction in the line, but the fluid cannot easily return.
