You probably got water in the oscillator. Yes, the oscillator is a real part. I know that it sounds like it is made up. The oscillator is basically what makes the warning buzzer work inside the cockpit. For instance, your low coolant, or low oil warnings.
You can find it inside the engine bay behind the drivers side headlight. It is black, about the size of a 9 volt battery and should have an electrical plug going into it. It even says OSCILLATOR on it in white paint, so you can't miss it. You probably got water inside of it when you were cleaning everything. Try unplugging it first. That should stop the beeping, and tell you if the oscillator is actually causing the problem. You most likely just need to let the oscillator dry out and then plug it back in. It should work normally after it has a chance to dry out.
Let me know how this goes. Good luck!

I've checked the oil and coolant, and they are both fine.
going to let it dry out and try it again.
Thanks for the help.

It's actually very rare that I have a chance to answer someone's question around here when I know the answer. I'm usually getting beat to the punch by some of the other usuals around here. Between Rx7Doctor, Mazdaverx13b, Rx7Carl, Sterling, Jeff20B, Trochoid, Wackyracer, etc, it's very rare that I get to be the hero. We've really got a knowledgeable group of core members here. That's what makes the 1st gen section so much fun...
