Starting Troubles.

Hello,

I have a 84 FB, I just rebuilt the 12A Engine and everything engine wise is running well. The only problem is that when I start the car I need to pump it quite a few times to get it running, and it runs kind of rough and rich while it is cold. After the car heats up though, it has lots of power and runs great. It would be nice to fix the start up problems though. Anyone have any ideas or tips on what it could be? I was thinking of going through the carburetor when I get the chance later this week, but I don't know what the main problem would be.

Thanks

Are you using the choke when you first start the car?

If you have a timing light check your ignition timing next time engine is running.
