first gen are notorious for the battery cables. It could be a bad ground or the positive cable is not making full contact, you can actually feel sometimes the positive wire get hot due to not making a good contact.....I have a had many RX-7's that wouldn't start until it found that "sweet spot" on making proper contact to battery.
You might want to check also your fusible links and fuse in fuse box to make sure it didn't blow. That can happen also.....

Wel it started today ...but then it died arc a intersection when it stalled cause it was cold... But I push started it ... It must ether be the starter or ignition stuff. I'm thinking cause. It just randomly happens

Yep, check the starter connections. Things can look fine, and there can be enough current flow to run lights, but starts draw a LOT of amps, and a high resistance connection anywhere in your system with cause it to not work. Also, I've said this a thousand times on this message board, but check your ignition switch. They are made of the cheapest stuff on earth, and are very dirty all these many years later. When I cleaned mine, my car quit doing it's random no start thing, and also turned over a lot quicker. There was a noticeable difference.

We'll not the starter connections or battery... Soo I think it must be the starter. I started it this morning in the cold I let it die the. Tryes to turn the key and nothing when I turn the key just a dim in the lights by the odometer ? So I'd assume the starter still? But mabye the ignition switch how would I know it's bad or dirty ? Q

Yeah, just take it apart (carefully) and clean each part with a wire brush. It's really just a series of copper rings with bumps and voids for the switching. Clean the bumps and the places where the bumps contact. You'll see it when you get it apart. I took some pictures on my phone of it coming apart so that I could put it back together again. I also took out that stupid little switch that activates the buzzer when the key is in the ignition. Put some dielectric grease back inside it when you put it back together to keep it working smooth.

I think there was a screw to remove, and the buzzer switch needed to come off I think, and it was held on by a push on washer that needs to be removed with a little patience and a flat blade of some kind, working around the edges and lifting a little each time around. Save it, you need to reuse it to re-install. If you want to leave that switch out, then you have to (I think) tie the wires together that go to it. It's better if you have a meter and can check, so don't take my word for it. It's been awhile. Also, I remember that to get the wire harness off of the switch, it was a snap on/off affair with a couple of plastic tabs that need to be pried gently. You should see them. I actually broke one of mine, but in the end, it's all held together inside the lock mechanism and didn't really matter.
