Starting Issue[searched for atleasr 2 hours]

Ok, I'm exhausted from searching, my eyes hurt, I have carpel tunnel, so I'm just going to ask, and hopefully, I shall receive. This morning I went out to start my car, just like every other morning, and of course it took a little while to get started. It died. When I tried to start it back up, I'd get one "click" then everything in the car would turn off, radio, idiot cluster, everything. So I get out, wiggle the battery a little and try it again, everything comes on, but once again, just one click, and everything shuts down. Any Ideas? Could it be just a bad battery? I even tried jumping it with a friends car, 14v on the voltage meter, then I go to start it, and "click".

SEARCH!!!! Just kidding.
First step is to clean the battery connections and make sure they're good and CLEAN, and tightly fastened. If that doesn't do the trick, crawl under the car and remove the positive cable from the sterter and clean the mating surfaces (do this with the + cable disconnected at the battery). That should fix it.

what he said, and also check the grounds. mine is on one of the bolts where a bunch of brackets used to be. just make sure all of your connections are clean and secure. and if the problem persist. try running a jumper cable from the battery to your starter and if it cranks then. then your cables need to be replaced.

What size do I need to take off the positive cable on the starter? I think that could be the problem.

Ok thanks I'll take both to be sure. I hope it's that and not anything more serious, could it be a bad ignition switch?

if you have access to a battery tester do a load test. it very well could be that you have a bad cell in your battery.

Usually the ignition switch on the SA22C just falls apart. Prolly not that. RX needs a good battery, prolly not a bad idea to put a new battery in her.

Good luck!

Just seconding (or thirding?) what they said, probably a corroded connection going to the starter, my Fc had that problem when I got it.
