My new solid engine mounts

Had them made up for me today to gain some clearance for my lower rad hose. 2-1/2 solid round aluminum stock x 1-1/2 hight with the mounting hole drilled out.

What is the diameter of the inside hole? I like solid mounts and my shifter moves to the right when I accelerate hard. I know I could just take them out and mesure, but I want to make them before hand and just swap them out.

Also will this work for a 12A also or just a 13B. Looks like what my engine mounts would look like the solid version of the 12A. Just want to make sure.

This will eliminate drive train wind up. Most noticeable from first to second gear when you wind up the RPM in first. The most noticeable issue is a difficulty of getting the transmission out of first gear.

The block we used to sell were 1.350" tall.

It helps to keep your engine from twisting when you rev hard or launch. well it may still twist if you have the power but the whole body moves instead of just the engine. It also helps you launch a little harder I believe do to the twisting robbing a bit of torque. The only disadvantage would be you can feel the engine vibrations. Some people don't like this.

Off topic I just bought a radiator from rock auto and bought a new radiator cap and they didn't match up, but the cap fits my old rad. I luckaly had a newer spare that fit.

Isn't this gonna be hard on the engine bearings?? Thats at least how it works with piston engines and I don't see how it'd be any different.....

Well i don't know how they feel yet as i'm still building the car. I had a major boo boo last drag race season which forced me to buy a new shell. Once i get the new drag car built i will let you know what they are like. I wonder what kind of vibrations the 13B-PP will put out at idle.

I don't think it would do so bad because we only have the 2 rotor bearings and there going round and round instead of up and down. where the momentum to a dead stop puts more shock on the bearings in general.

i highly doubt it will damage any part of the engine.
i'm currently running a super soft plastic on the respeed stage 1 kit. it gets the job done. going to make a piece of aluminum soon. just waiting till next next week when i will have free time at work to make it on a mill
