Pretty easy to pull the starter. Disconnect neg lead at battery, undo long bolt holding starter from top (leave bolt lying in place after unthreading), go underneath, undo short bolt, undo big electrical connector cable, undo little spade lug from ign key to solenoid, drop it out.

i had the same problem with mine. all 3 prongs on the back of the starter are HOT. so connect your HOT cable to one of the prongs. then connect your ignition switch to its little connecter. then ground it to the bolt that you hold the starer up with. that should make the starter fire off. so good luck if you havent fixed it already.

Clicking is a sign of low voltage to the starter or bad brushes not making contact to the armature.
Have you had your battery tested? And no just because the lights come on and the stereo does not mean that the battery is good. It needs to be tested under a load. When you replaced your negative cable where did you ground it to?
He said it was fine, Who tested your starter? Was it down on a machine?
