Hey everyone,

I Just finished my Starter Overhaul for my 85 GS and It's not working. It just spins in place and dosn't kick out like it should. I know theres nothing wrong with the starter Silonid or Bendeck? Drive that some might call it. Its brand new. I think i put the lever assembly that kicks out the drive wrong.

So if anyone can post a few pics of what its supposed to look like inside or a link to a detailed description would be well appriciated.

I don't understand why you would bother rebuilding when new is still so cheap, but, hey, challenges like that make life interesting. Use the search engine with "starter" and "problems" and you'll find a plethora of material to help out...
