starter - hot start assist

I forgot to undo the other bolt on the starter solenoid that goes to the hot start assist motor and puled apart the fusealbe link when i removed the starter. What effects will I notice if this is gone? Anything I should do to compenste with a hot motor (hold the pedal halfway down etc).

You have answered the question correctly!
Just hold the peddle down a little..

If the Hot Start Crap has been removed do you even need the Fuseable Link Wire on the Starter???
I've always been curouis about that to.
I have a Completly Stripped down Street Ported and whatever (Pinnapple Racing Motor) w/ Holley Set-UP and RB Complete Exaust System.
Just another what other piece of Elec Crap I can remove Question.

The 81 wiring diagram shows it only goes to the hot start assist relay so you could take that out too.

Thanks for the info on this one.
Like I said in my Reply, I've always wondered if that link should be there or not since I have had
*6= 1stGens* that I have stripped down the Bay to include the Rat's **** and have always said to myself (Self) what other purpose does this Link Include except for having a Backup in case I need a Fuseable Link somewhere else.
Thanks For The Info.

That far? Maybe that's what I've been doing wrong. Mine is a female dog to start when hot but I've not been pushing the pedal down that far.

Yesterday here in Eugune,OR it was 92 and I drove around all day spending all kinds of $$$$ on my RX and some Vodka of course.
I started the Babe 10-12 times and never touhed the pedal once until I put it in gear.
But I have a (Holey) set-up, not sure about stock or others.
Although She is a 3 Pumper in the Morning, But Girls will be Girls.
After reading this Thread I was curious too considering everything is stripped out and a really hot day to boot.
OK maybe 92 is not that hot where everybody else lives, but it is Here in Oregon.
Have a Good One.

P.S. Anybody in Oregon or Washington going to the Portland Speedway this weekend for the Races????
