Speedo gear shaft or rear tranny seal and being flung onto your exhaust by the driveshaft.
Are you sure its the tranny and not just oil from the engine? Clean it all underneath
with brake cleaner or some solvent and then drive it around and see where the oils
coming from.

Only SE or later trannys have vents. They are fairly large. I can't imagine them being clogged. I'd try what Tim said. Find exactly where it is leaking from. Often what I'm sure is happening, is not That said, I've had to replace several rear tranny seals over the years.

Well guys I think I know where its leaking ! its comming from the top where the shifter goes into the tranny, it would appear that the seals seem to be split looking from inside the car does this make sense?
