aluminum. its lighter, and it disipates heat better than SS...why do you think the IC's are aluminum?

SS is actually pretty heavy... go wth aluminum for sure...

ABS works alright too... and it's really light

I don't think the ABS cracks, but it does have problems with the hose clamps blowing off it since it's smooth.

abs is good up to 17psi I believe, 'cause it's meant for sewage transfer...

I've seen people use it before, but like coldy said, it does have some problems... althought I don't see why you couldn't just fuse a ring to the end of the pipe to pu the hose clamp around...

Aluminum looks a lot loss ghetto-rigged though...

FWIW, I used ABS to build my spud gun, which uses compressed hairspray and a latern ignitor to launch a potato 250+ yards in the air.... I'd assume that takes a lot more pressure than a turbo, and it's never blown up in the hundreds of times I've used it

I"ve built a compressed air potatoe cannon with abs and it shattered at 65 PSI, and sent a few pieces into my forearm and rib cage. However, My PVC Canon can hold 210 PSI. Its very light aswell, if you buy PVC pipeing, make sure its schedual 40, or higher.

yeah, like I said, ABS is only good up to 17-20 psi (if I recall correctly) PVC is meant for medium pressure water transfer, etc...

ABS would work fine for intercooler piping, because I'd love to see an engine that can handle a turbo that can generate 65+ psi

go aluminum though, like I said, much less ghetto

titanium

OT, PVC and capacitive discharge here on the spud cannon. Wrapped in a loose coil of 18awg wire and then duct taped the whole thing. It has never cracked. And boy does that CD ignition work so much better than the lantern/grill ignitors, mwuhahahaha.
