Squeks and Rattles

Hey guys,

Just got my motor rebuilt and streetported (84 GSL-SE), the flywheel (used Rb Aluminum) is not exactly balanced perfectly so there is slight vibration in the car between 2500 to 3500 rpm.

This is causing a rattle in the upper left hand corner of the gauge cluster as well as in the push button air controls which dont work by the way.

I was planning to take these apart over my Christmas break and put some soft washers, of rubber or felt between the screws and metal. Any other suggestions or advice?

Thanks
Greg

fix your out of balance issue and your vibration will go away.

that would be ideal but not exactly doable at the moment due to time, money, and downtime concerns,
besides these rattles were there before just not as pronounced and didnt happen as often.
