Springs........What do you think.....

Hey

I have been reading the other threads.......

I have an 85 GSL-SE

I put KYB struts an shocks all around........and then added Eibach or springs.............Real rough........

So my friend says to remove the rear bumps stops improve the rear suspension.......So we did

Now the back is softer......No more banging.........

My questions is on this for the front.............

http://www.groupbuycenter.com./buy.aspx?id=13360

Would this help the front out by being able to adjust the front spring rate height?

I also have a problem with the front being to low..........
My stock tires 205-60-14..rubs on the eibach springs......
Had to put spacers on the front to elliminate this........
the tires also rub on the wheel wells......

Would the coil overs solve this as well?

Thanks

Jim

You should cut the rear bump stops in half instead of removing them. I removed mine before and when I bottomed out on a big bump, the welds broke off the shock mounts on the axle.

Although I don't have the front coilovers (yet), it should solve the problems your having on fronts.

It looks like we have opposite problems. I want my front lower and you want to raise your front!!

Eibach is good for adjustability i guess...and web, have u checked with racing beat to lower your car? i ahve their front lowering kit getting ready to be installed on my FB, although not a bolt on kit...it brings briliancy to my car, also, cut one coil off your rear stock springs and cut your rear bumbstop and handling improves slightly...
just a lot of babble talk.

180sx-x,

I was thinking of the lowering kit, but I'm not sure if I can use a tower brace with it. I knew RB had one before with the lowering kit but not anymore.

How was the install? Was it hard?
