Spongy Brakes - Any Ideas Why?

Have got too much brake pedal travel and its feeling really spongy - master cyclinder looks fairly new, plenty of brake lining left, have bled the system - is initially a bit better and then goes spongy again, flexible hoses look pretty old (will replace them this weekend) - anyone got any other ideas what the problem could be? Many thx

Install them new soft lines, then bleed it starting with the following order:
rear passenger - driver side, front passenger - drive sides

Is this on a 79-80 or 81-85 model? Or is it the Alfa as listed in your profile? :-)

slap on some Stainless braided lines, that should firm up that pedal a bit
