Brake drum...
I can't ever seem to get that one right...
You know it is not too bad on this forum.
There are not too many script kiddies on here that use L337 speak so we should be thankful.
The biggest problem I see is that people don't take the time to read the post when they type it.
I see alot of "know" where no should have been used and things like that.
But I can't spell to save my life I don't even knowtice the mistakes.

You could be totally **** and open a window with MS Word, type your response, spell check it, then cut 'n paste to the forum.
Or just do like me and yell... "Hey hon? How the hell do you spell blah-blahblah??"

Implementing a spelling checker for a website is ugly. Think of it. What dictionary would you use? We have people from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. All speak English, but varying flavors. Dictionaries take space in a database too. And to access the database to do the spell check would add to the load on the database, slowing down a site that already requires a lot of database hits. There are lots of reasons for not adding spell check to a web site.

Clearly the Canadian english is superior, so that's not even a concern. Wouldn't it be nice to talk about you broke the crappy hinges on the CENTRE console when you were looking for a LOONIE, and discuss the best COLOUR for you car, and how you DEEKED OUT some cops that were staked out at the TIM HORTON'S, or who does the best engine work in MOOSE FACTORY.
[and I think to myself....what a wonderful world]

I like this site because we really DONT bitch about the spelling/grammar mistakes.
Not usually. Now, in the lobby, or in other gen sections, it may be different. I'm too ascared to go in there

OK People, I give up, spell what you want the way you think it should be. When we open it and have to figure out what in heck you mean, well we will interpolate.

Try IESpell from http://www.iespell.com/ It's a freeware spell checker for Internet Explorer. I love it.
