Speedo Cable

The speedo cable I have right now snapped just right before it goes into the covering right behind the dash. Should I replace the cable, or is there some way to reattach it, like epoxy or something?

replace the entire cable, end to end. best thing to do is post a want to buy ad for it in the 1st gen for sale/wanted section. they commonly wear but are no longer available new from mazda. make sure you specify the year and trans type (5spd or auto)

2nd gen speedo cables will also fit the FB, and they are still available new. The only diff is the FC cable is a tad longer, but it doesn't cause a problem.
