Spectre FPR?

I just bought a carter fuel pump from pepboys, and forgetting to buy the Holley FPR, I bought the Spectre FPR (2517). I was about to install it, but wanted to get some opinions first.

I think that will do just fine.

I am in the market for a FPR. Tell me how it works out for ya. By the way how much you get it for?

I've been wondering about the same regulator. Especially since on Summitracing.com they list the Holley FPR as having 3/8 NPT fittings, while the Spectre comes with various fittings, including 1/4 NPT (which is the size of the stock feed line for a Nikki right?)

I've seen them between $18 online to $23 from pepboys.

I installed this yesterday, and it only took 2 or 3 minutes. All I used was a hacksaw and cut the line, installed that bling bling chrome FPR, set it to 3.5 psi, and it works well! I'd recommend this to any that need a 0-5.5 psi FPR.

yeah I doubt its going to actually give you the pressure that it says, as it should vary depending on how much pressure your pump is putting out. if you use it with a gauge and set it yourself (ignoring the pressure it's "supposed" to give you) then you should be fine.

No No Noooo!!!

You cannot use these, they WILL NOT supply enough fuel at the high rpm's that a rotary hit. I used to have one of these styles, and the dyno showed massive fuel starvation. I switched to the holley and everythings perfect.

DO NOT USE DIAL STYLE REGULATORS!
